I primarily shoot landscape images, and while I vary my processing, I use presets containing the settings I normally use to help me understand the potential in each image. Full presets attempt to extract the full dynamic range of an image, while the Midrange presets only go half-way. Soft presets reduce the contrast and clarity while maintaining some color richness through the dehaze slider.
Inspired by the hard and fast pace of the city, these urban presets get down to the gritty, bare minimum, tones necessary to convey a story. High-contrast and warm tones reign supreme. There are both warm and cool presets Urban presets. Matte presets feature crushed blacks, Glow features reduced contrast to add exposure and softness, and the toned preset utilizes a warm highlight and cool shadow split-tone.
Western Mocha is a preset with muted colors, prominent earth tones, and lightened shadows. Originally, I created this preset for editing images related to ranches, farms, and stables. This preset comes in two flavors, the original, and a light version. The light version provides more color than the original.
